Trina Solar Chairman Jifan Gao pointed out that module prices halved to CNY1 (14 US cents) a watt from CNY2 a watt a year ago.
Jinko Solar’s Chairman Li Xiande said there would still be opportunities in the supply chain to benefit from.
Li Zhenguo, president of Longi Solar, said that profits would be difficult at CNY1 per watt rates.
Lu Chuan, chairman of China New Energy Development, raised worries about the risks to firms from such a situation.
