Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) invites bids for the construction of solar PV power plant for its captive consumption in Lakhanpur and Jagannath Area (in Orissa).

MCL has approved the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) under CAPEX mode for the development of 20 MW (AC)/28 MW (DC) solar PV power plants in the above-mentioned two areas in Orissa.

The tender mentioned, “It selected CIL Navikarniya Urja Limited (CNUL) – the newly incorporated subsidiary of Coal India Limited – for its 20 MW(AC) ground mounted and grid-connected solar PV power projects in Orissa. It establishes the 28MW(DC)/20 MW(AC) solar power plant and through EPC contractor at 2 locations of MCL, Orissa Region, India.”

The validity period of the tenders shall be 120 (One Hundred Twenty) days from the end date of bid submission.

This project in Jagathnath has the following details, “Generated Solar Power is to be evacuated at 33kv through a 5 km long 33 kV OHTL at 120 MVA (2X40MVA+ 2X20MVA),132/33KV Nandira Substation (feeding power to Anant, Bhubaneswar, Bharatpur 1&2, Balaram, Hingula, Nandira, Lingaraj & CSS-I&II feeder.) Erection of this OHTL shall be in the scope of EPC Contractor.”

Whereas the project in Lakhanpur has the following details, “The generated solar power is expected to be evacuated at 33kv through a 5 km long 33 kV OHTL at 40 MVA (2X20 MVA),132/33KV Jorabag substation feeding power to Lakhanpur-1, Lakhanpur-2, CWS & Y-Curve feeder. Erection of this OHTL shall be in the scope of EPC Contractor.”

The earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs. 50,00,000 is to be paid

The total contract period: 4015 Days

From the date of commencement to COD: 12 Months (i.e. 365 days)

Operation and Maintenance of Project: 3650 Days (i.e.10 years) from the Commercial Date of Operations (COD).
