Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released a tender for a 20 KWp grid-connected rooftop solar power plant for ICAI Bhawan – Rohini.

The ICAI tender mentioned, “The bidders are expected to have an enclose non-refundable demand Ddaft of Rs.1000/- plus GST @18%.

The last date of receipt of the duly filled-in bid is 7th June 2024 up to 5:30 PM.

The tender was released on 17th May 2024

The approximate Available Rooftop Area for Installation of Solar (Sq. Ft.) – 4,483.21 Sq. Ft.

Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) – Rs. 25,000/-

Time of Completion inclusive of periods and holidays – One Month

The cost of the document – Non-refundable Rs. 1,000/- plus GST @ 18% in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of “Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi”. An additional charge of Rs. 500/- for postage is to be paid by the Bidder if the tender documents are requested by post.

Bid validity period, “The offer shall remain valid for a period of a minimum of 90 days from the last date of submission of Bids and thereafter until it is withdrawn by the Contractor. The Bid security accompanying the bid shall be valid for 90 days beyond the bid validity period.”

The document mentioned, “The project includes the use of Mono/ Multi crystalline for one year. Interconnection Voltage & Interconnection Point – At the Institute Building a high-tech (HT) connection of 171 KW (approx.). The project would be placed for energizing the building along with all the CBs, CTs, and PTs. The power transformers are also stationed indoors. Only, isolators, earth switches, and LAs are provided at the switchyard. The Powerhouse is located near the proposed site.”

According to the document the Performance Security Deposit of  5% of the contract value is to be submitted before starting the work in the form of a Bank Guarantee within 10 days of issuance of a Letter of Intent (LOI).

Additionally, “All the power cables coming out of solar PV plant is to be terminated at local Busbar at a common voltage level and only a single 11KV underground cable circuit shall be taken to the switchyard at Power-House. There is sufficient space to place only one or two panels for 11KV CB, CT & PT. It will be in the contractor’s scope to provide all these along with cable terminations at the switchyard through isolator, earth-switch, and LA.

Other electronic connection details include, “Array Junction boxes, distribution boxes, and Fuse boxes: MCBs/ isolators, Surge Arrestors with string monitoring capabilities and with proper lugs, glands, ferrules, terminations, and mounting structures. DC and AC cables of appropriate sizes with adequate safety and insulation. Power Conditioning Units (PCU) with SCADA compatibility, common AC power evacuation panel with bus bars and circuit breakers LT & HT Power Interfacing Panels, Plant Monitoring Desk, AC & DC Distribution boards.”
