Bid Submission Start Date: 31-05-2024Bid Submission End Date: 29-06-2024Bid Opening Date: 04-07-2024End Date – 29-06-2024The tender document stated, “NHPC intends to procure solar power of up to 1200 MW capacity through a Competitive Bidding Process and additional capacity of Up to 1200MW with a greenshoe option. After the conclusion of the bidding process, NHPC is expected to enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the selected bidders for the purchase of solar power for 25 years from the scheduled commencement of the supply date of the project. Additionally, the document also aims to select solar power generators (SPGs) for setting up Grid-connected Solar-PV power projects of 1200 MW and additional capacity up to 1200MW with “Greenshoe Option” on the land to be identified & arranged by the SPGs in anywhere in India.” The document mentioned the minimum project size to be 50 MW and in multiples of 10 MW thereafter under the open category. The cumulative capacity offered is expected to not exceed 600 MW without “the greenshoe option” and 1200MW for a bidder with the greenshoe Option. For projects located in northeastern states and special categories, NHPC sets the minimum quantum of contracted capacity that can be offered by a bidder, including its parent, affiliate, or ultimate parent or any group company, to be 30 MW.
