Zunroof Bids Lowest For IPGCL’s 35 MW Solar Tender Under CAPEX A,D Model By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Mon, Mar 25th, 2019 Zunroof was the L1 bidder at Rs 42,000/kW in the capex A and D categories for development of solar power projects in 1-10 kW range. Gurgaon-based clean energy startup, Zunroof has won 250 kW capacity as the L1 bidders in Indraprastha Power Generation Co. Ltds (IPGCL) 35 MW solar tender under the Mukhyamantri Solar Power Yojana in the Capex A and D categories. The 250 kW capacity that was awarded in the, capex-A model for 1-10 kW rooftop solar plants for which the company won 50 kW capacity with the L1 bid of Rs 42,000 per kW, and the capex-D model for 1-10 kW solar power plants with elevated structures for which the company won 200 kW capacity with the L1 bid of Rs 44,100/kW (Rs 42,000/kW + 3 x Rs 700/meter). The subsidy amount for the capex-A model is Rs 12,600/kW and for the capex-D model, the subsidy amount is Rs 13,230/kW for a 3-meter elevated structure. The Request for Selection (RfS) for selection of bidders for empanelment of vendors for the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning including warranty, comprehensive O&M of grid-interactive rooftop solar PV power plant under 8 categories (CAPEX-A to E and RESCO-A to C) was issued by IPGCL in November 2018. Pranesh Choudhary, Director, Zunroof told Saurenergy, “It is the lowest price ever for residential customers in India and that has been made possible by our continuous focus on bringing technology in every aspect of the solar journey for our countrymen. We will keep striving to bring more efficiency, thereby reducing the prices further. The fact that no other company was able to match our prices underlines our market leadership in Delhi (where our estimate is that we have >20% market share already).” The estimated cost of the project for the capex categories is Rs 56.1 crore and the cost expected for the deployment of the capex A and D models was estimated at Rs 18 crore. In January, IPGCL notified the selection of L1 bidders for the grid-interactive rooftop solar PV power plant under RESCO-A, RESCO-B & RESCO-C models. According to the notification for RESCO part A- Networth Projects Pvt Ltd was selected as the L1 Bidder. For Part B, Sriram Cables and For Part C, HFM Solar Power was selected as the L1 bidder. The three lowest bidders had quoted Rs 3.13, Rs 3.15 and Rs 2.58 per kWh. The levelised tariff discovered for per unit of power for the three selected companies are Rs 3.93, Rs 3.96 and Rs 3.58.
