Zodiac Energy Receives Its First International Solar Order

Indian Renewable Energy company Zodiac Energy today announced receiving its first international rooftop solar order. The firm in its latest filing before exchanges informed its investors about the details of the order.

The firm said that it received the order from Zambia to construct a rooftop solar system on a turnkey basis. This project will be connected with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Zodiac said that it received the order from Strongpak Limited (Zambina-Africa). The total aggregate cost of the project is around USD $720 lakh.

2MW Of Rooftop Project 

“Company has been awarded with first international Rooftop order from Kitwe, Zambia for Designing, Engineering, Supplying, Installing, Testing, and Commissioning of Grid Tied 2 MWp Rooftop Solar System Turnkey with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) basis for M/s Strongpak Limited (Zambia-Africa) at the aggregate cost of USD $720,626.00 (USD Dollar Seven Lakh Twenty Thousand Six Hundred Twenty Six only),” the company said in a statement. 

The project is likely to be completed by the end of February 2025. The company claims to offer several clean energy solutions. Zodiac’s portfolio comprises services in residential rooftop solar, more than 300 MW of solar EPC services, turnkey energy solutions, energy solutions and others.

Diversified clients 

The firm was originally incorporated in Ahmedabad on May 22, 1992. It changed its name to Zodiac Energy Private Limited in 2007. “Our company has installed solar power plants for many prominent clients like Sun-Edison India Limited, Adani Group, Torrent Power Limited, Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Reserve Bank of India, Directorate of Lighthouse and Lightships Government of India (GOI), Indian Oil Corporation Limited to name a few. The company has served more than 15,000 customers With having 300+ MW solar portfolio,” the firm said.
