Tech-enabled electric vehicles mobility platform, ZEVO, has announced its partnership with Machphy Solutions towards the deployment of the brand’s innovation across ten cities in its inaugural year. The initiative will benefit several sectors such as pharmaceutical, seafood, dairy, and FMCG Industries in the temperature controlled last-mile delivery segment.

Machphy Solutions is a tech firm from IIT Delhi.

The solution has been designed for electric vehicle operators and promises lightweight, corrosion-resistant features. Significantly, it does not depend on lithium batteries for the maintenance of the required payload temperature. The innovation thus could be a gamechanger for cold chain logistics and since lithium batteries are very expensive.

The system by ZEVO operates with an overnight plug-in electric charge. It also facilitates intracity operations for up to 16 hours at a temperature of -20°C while offering a range of 120 km using PCM based technology, with greater durability through the use of composite materials and aluminum in REV L5 construction.

The solution delivers to chilled, frozen, and ultra-low temperature operations, employing proprietary technology taking the advantage of advanced thermal materials for efficient energy storage when compared to alternative technologies.

The rising demand for frozen goods and pharmaceuticals in the Indian market has led to an increased need for temperature-controlled logistics (TCL).

ZEVO, which is based out of Delhi, is looking to deploy 50,000 two-wheelers and 10,000 three/four-wheelers and trucks over the period of the following three years. ZEVO is presently looking to raise funding through its Pre-series A round. With the funds raised, it aims at the expansion of fleet as well as the geographic reach of ZEVO. ZEVO aspires to augment operations in over 20 Indian cities.
