WattPower Starts Solar Inverter Factory In Chennai With 10GW Capacity By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Sep 7th, 2023 Renewable solutions firm Wattpower has now started a string inverter factory in Tamil Nadu. The company claimed that the plant in the southern Indian state would produce solar inverters to aid the growth of the renewable energy sector in the country. The company has planned to produce solar inverters with 10GW capacity. As per the details, the plant is spread over 3.5 acres of land with 40% allocated for greenery. The company has planned investment of $ 172 million for the first year for the plant. The company said that the factory would lead to the creation of 180 direct and indirect jobs and aid in boosting the growth of renewable energy and its banking. Huawei’s existing base of installed inverters is also serviced and maintained by Wattpower. Earlier, WattPower had signed a deal with Renew Power to provide 1200 MW of string inverters by December 2023. The partnership had a contract value of Rs 200 crore. Wattpower is known for its innovative energy solutions. It has specialized advanced string inverters for solar power plants. It claims to have cutting-edge technologies for efficient and reliable conversion of solar power into electricity.
