Waaree Renewable Clinches ₹232.30 Crore Mega Project

Waaree Renewable Technologies, the EPC arm of Waaree Group, has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) for the execution of a ground-mounted solar power project with an installed capacity of 170 MW AC / 255 MW DC. The project, valued at approximately ₹232.30 crore, will be executed on a turnkey basis, covering comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, along with long-term Operation & Maintenance (O&M).

Beyond its scale and technological advancements, the project will contribute to carbon offset efforts, reducing an estimated 225,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually- the equivalent of removing nearly 50,000 fossil fuel-powered cars from the roads each year, the firm said.

The latest project win will add heft to Waaree RTL’s order book, placing the company on course for a strong delivery pipeline to 2026 end and beyond for now. The company has made major wins in the past year, including its first GW scale project win from NTPC. Besides that, the firm has also bagged significant order wins in the BESS space, as it seeks to expand offerings in the fast growing segment as well. In a market with tight DCR module supply, access through parent firm Waaree Energies has also been a source of strength for the firm as it bids for projects.
