This deal involves the provision of the Waaree Elite Series N-Type Topcon BiN-03-680 to 690Wp GTG Bifacial modules. Mumbai-based Waaree Energies Ltd., India’s largest solar PV modules manufacturer with an aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023 has received a 900 MW module supply deal from Serentica Renewables India Private Limited. Waaree Energies received this contract for a project located in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. This project is expected one of the large solar power plants installed in India with Waaree modules. The delivery schedule for these TOPCon bifacial modules is set from August 2024 to February 2025. Module manufacturers in India are poised to have a strong year domestically after exports in 2023-24, thanks to the full force of the ALMM compliance starting April 1 this year. With all projects barring projects linked to green hydrogen production mandated to buy domestic modules, sales are expected to be strong this year, as solar capacity additions continue to ramp up.
