Indian solar module manufacturers Waaree Energies has now secured a 90 MW order to supply of 540/545Wp dual glass bifacial modules to Juniper Green for their solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The deployment of Waaree’s bifacial solar modules will boost Bikaner’s renewable energy capacity, contributing to reduction in carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.

Waaree Energies is a leading solar module manufacturer in the country with around 12 GW of annual solar module manufacturing capacity. The company has also plans to start its solar module manufacturing plant in the United States (US) this year. Juniper Green Energy is an independent renewable energy power producer and operator of solar, wind and hybrid power projects with experience in conceptualizing, building, and developing renewable energy assets.

The company is part of the AT Group which has an asset portfolio worth of approximately US$2.5 billion with global investments in renewable energy, residential & commercial real estate, hospitality etc. The Group has been building utility scale renewable energy projects in India since 2010 and built and owned Orange Renewable, a 1GW renewable energy platform in the past.

Rising solar installations 

Solar additions in the country have picked up in the country in FY25. As per the latest data from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), India’s total solar capacity has surpassed 87 GW. The data revealed that compared to FY24, the pace of solar installations has increased by around 77 percent in the first seven months of the calendar year. For Waaree, this is one of the latest large orders it has bagged.

Waaree’s EPC arm-Waaree Renewable has also seen a growth in its revenues. The latest Q1 results of the company shows that its revenues increased 85 percent on a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis. Besides the solar module manufacturing and EPC arm, the group also has its storage arm-Waaree Technologies.
