Waaree Energies Gets BIS Certification For TopCon Modules Solar PV modules manufacturer Waaree Energies Limited has announced that it has obtained certification for Topcon Modules from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The certification is meant specifically for glass to backsheet, with a capacity of up to 625Wp. The certification falls under the category of “Crystalline Silicon Terrestrial Photovoltaic (PV) Modules (Si wafer-based). According to the press document, this certification positions the company at the forefront of innovation in the manufacturing of solar power solutions. The BIS certification can serve as a differentiator in an increasingly competitive global renewable energy landscape. On the certification from BIS, Mr. Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, Chairman and Managing Director at Waaree Energies Limited said, “Securing the BIS certification for our TopCon modules is a momentous accomplishment for us at Waaree Energies. We are excited by the possibilities that this opens up in terms of enhancing our capabilities to deliver sustainable energy solutions.” Waaree Renewable Technologies has also bagged an order worth Rs 990.60 crore for a 980 MWp solar project yesterday leading to a surge in its stocks. The new order came from one of the leading renewable energy companies in India, the company said in a stock exchange filing. The project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months as per the LOA. Apart from that, Dilip Panjwani, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Waaree Renewable, told its investors in its recent conference call that the majority of the orders it received had been from Independent Power Producers (IPP) but the company also expects the orders from Indian Public Sector Utilities (PSUs) are also slated to escalate in coming days.
