Waaree Energies Appoints Aniruddha Khekale as CHRO

IPO-bound Waaree Energies Limited, India’s largest manufacturer of solar PV modules has announced the appointment of  Aniruddha Khekale as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Aniruddha Khekale’s appointment comes at a period of high growth for the company as it chases the opportunity of a lifetime to build on its strong market presence and dominance in India. Waaree is currently the largest module manufacturer and probable module exporter from India with a 12 GW capacity, with further expansion plans underway as well.

Aniruddha Khekale brings decades of experience in human resource management, business transformation and talent and cultural excellence. His career is marked by his experience to lead HR functions across diverse sectors, driving organizational transformation, leadership development, and strategic HR initiatives.

Speaking on his role at at Waaree Energies Limited as CHRO, he said, “The opportunity to establish a strong foundation of people and culture for an organization is incredibly exciting and that is what attracted me to join Waaree Energies Limited. As CHRO, I am dedicated to leveraging my experience in human resources and leadership development to build a high performing, engaged workforce. My goal is to identify and nurture the critical capabilities our organization needs, and to implement approaches to attract and retain talent.”

In his new role, Khekale will lead company’s human resources strategies, digital transformation, talent management programs, and employee engagement initiatives. His appointment is expected to assist in aligning workforce capabilities with organizational goals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

For Waaree, the induction of a new CHRO is just one of many additions it will be making as it continues on a strong growth path that has seen it grow profits over 400% in FY23, even as turnover more than doubled from Rs 2950 crores in Fy 22 to Rs 6860 crores in Fy23. It’s Fy24 numbers are also expected to be very strong on the back of a strong demand environment and unprecedented order wins in terms of size and volumes tracked in the past year.
