Vikram Solar bags 393.9 MWp Module Order From NLC India For Khavda Project Gyanesh Chaudhary, MD & CEO, Vikram Solar

Vikram Solar, one of the leading Indian Solar Module manufacturers in India has announced a significant milestone of securing a 393.9 MWp module supply order for NLC India Limited at GSECL’s Solar Park (Stage 2) in Khavda, Gujarat.

This landmark order brings Vikram Solar’s total PV module supply contract to the Khavda Solar Park to over 1 GW.

According to the firm, the 393.9 mw order will be fulfilled with ALMM listed 580 Wp and n-Topcon bifacial modules produced at the state of art manufacturing facilities of the firm that meet stringent internal quality standards & also the rigorous ALMM standards.

Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director, Vikram Solar shared, “We are thrilled to share another milestone for Vikram Solar, having secured a significant order for high-efficiency solar modules from NLC India Limited. This purchase order not only signifies NLC’s deep trust in our expertise but also affirms our steadfast commitment to excellence. Vikram Solar is proud to be involved in India’s unparalleled decarbonization initiative. As the nation charts a course towards a sustainable future, we are committed to architect tomorrow’s solutions and propel India to global leadership in sustainability.”

The order win underscores the impact of the ALMM regulations that have been brought in with full force from April 1, with over 2.5 GW of module order wins already announced by domestic manufacturers since then. At least another 4 GW of orders are to be announced by September this year, according to industry experts. Others have indicated that order placement will be contingent on prices remaining attractive for buyers, as a move beyond 24 cents per watt could start slowing down uptake as well. For now, with a strong project momentum and prices staying low to stable in China for raw materials, hope is high that order inflows for domestic manufacturers this year will break new records every quarter.
