Vikram Solar Announces 1 GW Module Order From JSW

Indian solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar has announced that it has secured a significant order to supply 1GW of solar modules. Under this contract, Vikram Solar will supply its advanced Hypersol N-Type TOPCON Glass-to-Glass Modules (580Wp and above) to fulfill the order. The modules are specifically designed to deliver enhanced efficiency, making them ideal for large-scale solar installations.

The modules will be deployed in the states of Karnataka, Gujarat and Rajasthan in India as part of JSW Neo Energy Limited’s renewable energy initiative. Manufacturing of the modules will be undertaken at Vikram Solar’s facilities in Falta (West Bengal) and Oragadam, (Chennai).

Vikram Solar, is a solar module maker that specializes in efficient photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing, with an international presence across 39 countries. Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, it is one of the module manufacturers in India with a cumulative production capacity of 3.5 GW as of March 31, 2024. Vikram Solar is a ‘Top Performer’ in PVEL’s PV module reliability scorecard and has been included in the Tier 1 solar PV modules manufacturer list of Bloomberg NEF. Vikram Solar Limited has established a pan-India presence through an extensive distributor network of 41 authorized distributors 64 dealers, and 67 system integrators. It has now also filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) to issue Initial Public Offering (IPO) and enter into the stock market.
