Vestas secures 153 MW Wind Energy Order In US Renewable energy company Vestas received a 153 MW order to power an undisclosed wind project in the USA. The order consists of 34 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines. The orders include supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimized performance of the asset. Turbine delivery begins in the second quarter of 2026 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. Vestas, an energy industry global partner and a sustainable energy solution provider that designs, manufactures, installs, and services onshore and offshore wind turbines across the globe. It has more than 177 GW of wind turbines in 88 countries, and it has installed more wind power. Earlier Projects Earlier this year, global clean energy enterprise TagEnergy and wind energy major Vestas came together to develop a 220-MW wind portfolio in Spain. The joint venture will see Vestas acting as lead developer and TagEnergy will draw on its experience developing wind farms to determine and shape the most cost-efficient model. The new wind energy project will come up in the Castilla y León region. TagEnergy said that it will also leverage its battery energy storage systems (BESS) expertise. The company is already developing more than 270 MW of BESS in the UK and will lead the potential hybridisation of the projects to help stabilise the grid. The co-development agreement in Spain deepens the already successful relationship between the Portugal-based independent power producer and Vestas, which began with the 756 MW Golden Plains Wind Farm – East, stage one of the landmark 1,300 MW Golden Plains Wind Farm project of TagEnergy in Victoria, Australia.
