The European Energy and Vestas are mulling to install V236-15 MW offshore wind turbines of Vestas at three test positions in the demonstrator wind farm. The 15 MW wind turbines of global turbine manufacturer Vestas will soon see its first installation. As per an establishment permit issued by the Danish Energy Agency for the development of the Frederikshavn offshore wind farm, the road for Vestas wind turbines’ installation is cleared. The company had applied for the permit in May2 022. The Denmark government has allowed the Frederikshavn OWF ApS the right to construct the wind energy farm. The farm will have a power generation capacity of up to 72 MW. Frederikshavn OWF ApS a special purpose vehicle created by European Energy which is a global renewable energy player with a vision to accelerate green transition in the power sector. According to reports, the wind turbines will be constructed and made operational in 2024. The installation will be located just a few kilometres off Frederikshavn and Hirsholmene coasts. Recently, the Danish Energy Agency and the Frederikshavn Municipality carried out the process of public consultation with regards to the environmental impact of the project. The European Energy and Vestas are mulling to install V236-15 MW offshore wind turbines of Vestas. They will come up at three test positions in the demonstrator wind farm. According to the official statement by the two RE firms, Frederikshavn city will be converted to a focal point for testing and demonstration of wind energy technology for the world.
