Uttarakhand to Welcome 500 MW Solar Park in Unison with Rays Power Infra Rays Power Infra Ltd, a player in the solar energy sector, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttarakhand Government to build a 500 MW solar park. The MoU signing ceremony, held at Dehradun on December 5, 2023, witnessed the participation of key stakeholders, including the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Ketan Mehta, MD, Rays Power Infra said, “We are excited about the association with the Uttarakhand Government to materialize their vision for a sustainable and energy-efficient future. This strategic partnership epitomizes our commitment to advancing solar energy solutions in India. We anticipate that the 500 MW solar park will not only fulfill a significant portion of the state’s power demands but will also act as a catalyst for economic growth and environmental preservation.” Rays Power Infra boasts portfolio of commissioned capacity of 1.30 GWp. The firm has initiated the development and execution of solar parks and plants aggregating to 2 GW with expected commissioning in the next two years. It is also developing large-scale solar parks in Rajasthan, which will be utilized for setting up utility-scale and C&I projects. The company has a global presence, having installed large-scale solar projects in Vietnam and Bangladesh. Rays Power Infra is expanding its presence across Asia and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. The announcement also follows the signing of an agreement between KPI Green Energy and the Government of Uttarakhand for the establishment of a 500 MW solar park.
