Uttarakhand to Empanel EPC Contractors for Rooftop Solar Projects

UREDA has issued a tender for empanelment of the EPC contractors for commissioning of rooftop and small solar plants at various locations in Uttarakhand.

The Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for the empanelment of the EPC contractors to undertake work of project commissioning of grid-connected rooftop and small solar power plant at various locations in the State of Uttarakhand.

The scope of work for the empaneled contractors will include the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, net-metering and commissioning of the 1 kWp to 500 kWp grid-connected rooftop and small solar power plants in the state. The contractors will also be required to provide warranty and maintenance services for the plants under the term of an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for a period of 5 years.

The last date for bid submission is June 5, 2020, and the technical bids will be opened on June 11, 2020. All bidders will have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 5 lakh along with their bids.

As per the tender documents, work orders shall be placed by UREDA to various empanelled firms and they will design, manufacture, supply, erect, test, and commission the solar power plant and shall make all necessary arrangements for satisfactory maintenance and performance of the Power Plant. Warranty and AMC period will include rectification/ replacement of all the defective and consumable components/items including batteries. PV modules used in solar power plants must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90 percent at the end of 10 years and 80 percent at the end of 25 years.

The selected firms will be empaneled for a period of 1 year. After completion of this period, the validity of rates may further be extended on the basis of the performance of the firms and mutual consent between UREDA and interested empanelled firms.
