Uttar Pradesh Tenders for Electric Buses and Charging Stations

Two tenders have been issued in Uttar Pradesh for the supply of electric buses and commissioning of EV charging stations for the said buses in Gorakhpur.

The Directorate of Urban Tranport under the Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued two tenders for the supply of two electric buses, and the commissioning of EV charging stations for the said buses in Gorakhpur.

The scope of work for the first tender will involve the design, manufacture, supply and commissioning of two 12m low floor electric buses to be operated in Gorakhpur.

The last date for bid submission for the tender is February 4, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The date and time of opening of the price bids will be intimated to the technically cleared bidders later. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 17.5 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders must Original Electric Bus Manufacturers (OEMs), and should be registered Indian bus manufacturers having experience in manufacturing of electric bus and delivery of at least 10 such buses for the past three financial years.

For demonstrating financial capacity, the bidder should have a positive net worth at the close of the preceding Financial Year and a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 10 crore in the immediately preceding the last 3 financial years.

The second tender has been issued for the designing and construction of 25 charging stations with Shed in Gorakhpur. The charging stations will also be used to power up the two electric buses that the state will procure to be operated in the city.

The last date for bid submission for the tender is February 3, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on February 5, 2019. The selected developers will have a period of 275 days to complete the work on the project. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 6.74 crore and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 6.75 lakh along with their bids.
