Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit 2018: Uflex to Invest Rs 1,200cr on Solar Project By Aaqib/ Updated On Wed, Feb 21st, 2018 Uflex Limited, India’s largest flexible packaging materials company plans to invest Rs1,700 crore to enhance its manufacturing capacity and set up a solar power project in Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Modi inaugurated two–day Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit 2018 in Lucknow. The event organized by Uttar Pradesh Government is aiming to showcase the investment opportunities and potential in the state. Uflex Limited, India’s largest flexible packaging materials company plans to invest Rs1,700 crore to enhance its manufacturing capacity and set up a solar power project in Uttar Pradesh Ashok Chaturvedi, Uflex Ltd Chairman and MD of the company, said, “As a Group we lay a lot of emphasis on environmental sustainability in all our business processes therefore we propose to set up a solar project on 300 acres of land with an investment of approximately Rs 1,200 crore.” “We have ambitious plans to substantially enhance our manufacturing capacity for flexible packaging in the next few years. For this … we endeavour to invest Rs 500 crore towards the project”, Packaging solutions firm Uflex plans to invest Rs 1,700 crore to enhance its manufacturing capacity and set up a solar project in Uttar Pradesh”, Ashok Chaturvedi added. The two-day Summit is aimed at showcasing investment opportunities and potential from corner to corner of various sectors in the state.
