Union Cabinet Clears Renewable Energy MoU Inked Between India, Morocco By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Wed, May 23rd, 2018 The MoU envisages establishing a Joint Working Committee (JWC) to review, monitor and discuss matters relating to the areas of cooperation. The Union Cabinet has provided its approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Morocco on cooperation in the field of renewable energy in April this year. As per the pact, both the parties aim to establish the basis for a cooperative institutional relationship to encourage and promote technical bilateral cooperation on new and renewable energy issues on the basis of mutual benefit, equality and reciprocity. Moreover, the MoU envisages establishing a Joint Working Committee (JWC) to review, monitor and discuss matters relating to the areas of cooperation. Meanwhile, the MoU also aims for exchange of expertise and networking of information and will help in strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
