AMPIN C&I Power Eight, based in New Delhi, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up to develop a 75 MWp DC / 50 MW AC solar power project on a captive basis in Sindhari village, Balotara district, Rajasthan, UltraTech said in a regulatory filing. The company said, “The transaction is expected to close within 180 days of the agreement signing. The acquisition is aimed at supporting UltraTech’s green energy goals, reducing energy costs, and ensuring compliance with captive power norms under Indian electricity regulations.” The move is also expected to boost UltraTech’s renewable energy capacity. According to the company’s Q3 FY25 results, capacity utilisation stood at 73%, with domestic sales volume rising 10% year-on-year. Energy costs were down 13% year-on-year and 4% quarter-on-quarter, driven primarily by lower fuel prices. Ampin’s Recent Collaborations In early 2025, AMPIN Energy Transition signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with medical device manufacturer Poly Medicure to supply 9.9 MWp of solar power to five of its plants from AMPIN’s 75 MWp solar park in Kurungawali, Sirsa, Haryana.
