TrinaTracker Expands Presence in Latin America’s Solar Market By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, Aug 27th, 2024 TrinaTracker Expands Presence in Latin America's Solar Market With the growing trend of large centralized power generation projects in Brazil, TrinaTracker, a global provider of smart tracker solutions, has strengthened its foothold in the region. According to global energy data analyst Wood Mackenzie, TrinaTracker ranked third in solar tracker shipments to Latin America last year. In 2023, TrinaTracker, a division of Trina Solar Co Ltd, shipped approximately 1.8 GW of solar trackers to Latin America, capturing a 14% share of the market. This success is attributed to significant projects such as the 520 MW Santa Luzia complex in Paraiba state, one of Brazil’s largest solar installations, and the 210 MW Mauriti photovoltaic complex in Ceará state. Both projects utilize TrinaTracker’s advanced tracking systems, including the Vanguard 1P tracker and the AI-powered SuperTrack system. The Mauriti complex also integrates Trina Solar’s Vertex module for enhanced efficiency. Marcus Fabrino, TrinaTracker’s Regional Head for Latin America and the Caribbean, attributes the company’s success in the region to its strategic investments, workforce expansion, and efficient delivery operations. Last year, TrinaTracker launched its third manufacturing facility in Bahia state, Brazil, complementing existing factories in China and Spain. This new factory not only produces Vanguard 1P trackers but also serves as an operational hub, supplying components and services across Brazil and neighboring countries to ensure timely project completions. “To sustain our growth rate, TrinaTracker will continue to invest heavily in Latin America,” Fabrino stated. “We have already established an operations center in Chile to expedite the delivery of tracker spare parts and provide services. We are also considering opening a new center in Latin America, potentially in Argentina or Colombia.” TrinaTracker will showcase its latest products and services at the Intersolar South America exhibition, taking place at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo from August 27 to 29. Visitors can find TrinaTracker at booth W3-40. Tags: America, Solar Market, TrinaTracker
