Trina Solar’s 210 PERC Cell Achieves 24.5% Efficiency Trina Solar Awarded Zero-Carbon Factory Four-Star Certificate

Chinese manufacturer of PV products, Trina Solar has said that its State Key Laboratory of PV Science and Technology (SKL PVST) proprietary industrial larger-area 210mm×210mm high-efficiency PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) solar cell has accomplished high efficiency at 24.5%. This has been validated by National Institute of Metrology, China. As per Trina Solar, the company has set a new record for 210 P-type monocrystalline silicon PERC cells. The company stated that this is the 24th time that it has set a new world record, manifesting the company’s long-standing technology leadership.

Trina Solar’s technologies including multi-layer anti-reflection, ultra-fine metallization finger, and super multi-busbars (MBB) contributes to the champion efficiency of 24.5% for larger-area 210mm high-efficiency PERC cells.
