THDC India recently released an EPC tender seeking a bid to develop 100.1 MWac / 135.2 MWp ground-mounted solar plants. The tender mandated the EPC company to ensure the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the project for the initial three years. The project will be located on the premises of KPCL Thermal Plants (BTPS, RTPS, and YTPS).  THDC sought these bids for the tender till January 18, 2025. . These projects have been proposed to come up in Karnataka.

Detailed Scope of Work as mentioned in the tender document said, “The total period for completion of facilities shall be 12 months to be reckoned from the Effective date of Contract. The effective date of the contract shall be the date of issuance of NOA/LOA. Further, the period of comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of Solar Photo Voltaic Plants shall be three years from the date of Operational acceptance as specified in bid documents. The bid is valid for 180 days. The tender is free of cost.

The scope of the world includes, “The creation of all design & engineering, procurement & supply of equipment and materials (including PV modules), testing at manufacturers works, multi-level inspections, packing and forwarding, supply, receipt, unloading and storage at a site associated civil works, services, permits, licenses, installation, and incidentals, insurance at all erection, testing, and commissioning of total 100.1 MW (AC) /135.2 MW (DC) {RTPS-53.9MW(AC)/72.8MW(DC).”

The tender was issued for different project capacities at different locations. The project tender mentioned, “The YTPS30.8MW(AC)/41.6MW(DC) & BTPS-15.4MW(AC)/20.8MW(DC)} for solar power plant and performance demonstration with associated equipment and materials on turnkey basis at BTPS, RTPS and YTPS in the premises of KPCL Thermal Power Plants, Karnataka State. All works shall be executed as per Technical Specifications regarding site-specific design requirements.”
