TERI Issues RFP for 20 MW/ 40 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Delhi

TERI (The Energy & Resources Institute) has issued an RFP for the design, supply, testing, installation, commissioning,
operation and maintenance of 20 MW/ 40 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Delhi under tariff-based competitive bidding.

The last date for submission of bids is September 22, 2023. Bids open on September 29, 2023.

The scope of work entails site survey, planning, design, engineering, and transportation to site, insurance, supply at site, un-loading, handling, installation, integration, testing, commissioning & demonstration, operation, and maintenance of BESS. The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has provided an in-principal approval for the project.

The operation and maintenance or the estimated period of performance is from the signing of BESSA until 12 years post Commercial Operation Date (COD) of BESS.

Earlier, The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued a tender for consulting services for the selection of consultancy firm for owners engineer services for 100 MW SPV Project along with 40 MW/120 MWh BESS at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh and 100 MW Floating Solar PV Project at Getalsud, Jharkhand.
