Tender Issued for 10 MW Floating Solar Plant in West Bengal By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Mon, Mar 16th, 2020 WBPDCL has issued a tender for 10 MW Phase-II grid-connected floating solar plant on Raw Water Pond No.1, 2 & 4 in SgTPP in West Bengal. The West Bengal Power development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) has issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible firms for setting up of a 10 MW Phase-II grid-connected floating solar PV power plant on Raw Water Pond No.1, 2 & 4 in Sagardighi Thermal Power Project (SgTPP) in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design and engineering, manufacture, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the floating solar plant. The successful bidders will have a period of 1 year to complete the work on the project. The developers will also be required to provide a warranty obligation with 5 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance. The last date for bid submission is April 15, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on April 17, 2020. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for March 27, 2020, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 60.02 crore and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 1.2 crore along with their bids. To be eligible, the bidders must have experience of satisfactory execution of contracts in planning, designing, supply, installation, testing & commissioning with comprehensive operation and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop and/or ground-mounted and/or floating solar PV power plants at any organization /PSU/ government organization having a capacity of at least one number-10 MWp or two number-5 MWp capacity or higher capacity project at a single location in each case during preceding 7 years. This plant(s) should have been operating successfully for a minimum 1 year. The Minimum Average Annual Turnover (MAAT) of the bidder during the last 3 financial years ending March 31 of the previous financial year shall be Rs 18 crore. And, the Net worth as per the financial statement of the last financial year should not be less than 100 percent of the paid share capital of the bidder.
