Tender by first half of 2023-24 Under Green Hydrogen Mission By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Mar 6th, 2023 The Government of India approved the National Green Hydrogen Mission in the month Jan. 2023 with the initial outlay of Rs.19,744 crore, including an outlay of Rs.17,490 crore for the SIGHT (Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition) programme, Rs.1,466 crore for pilot projects, Rs.400 crore for R&D, and Rs. 388 crore towards other Mission components. In a step towards this Mission the government will soon issue guidelines and also issue tender for incentives by the first half of the next financial year, as per media reports. A draft of the incentive schemes is under preparation and consultation would also begin soon. The mission aims to lift India’s green hydrogen production capacity to at-least 5 million tonnes per year, with associated renewable energy capacity addition of about 125 GW. Last month, the European Investment bank announced indicative euro one billion funding to support large -scale green hydrogen hubs and projects across India.
