Tumakuru Smart City Limited (TSCL) has issued a tender for the deployment of 300 kW of grid-connected solar PV rooftop projects at a glass house near Amanikere Lake Park, Tumkakaru in Karnataka. The brief scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the 300 kW rooftop system. The project developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant. Selected bidders will have a period of 4 months from the date of award of a contract to complete the work on the project. The last date of bid submission is April 24, 2019, and the technical bids will be opened on the following day i.e. April 25, 2019. The estimated cost for the development of the project is Rs 2,86,68,479 (Rs ~2.86 crore). All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 4.31 lakhs along with their bids. To be eligible, the bidder should have achieved in at least two financial years a minimum financial turnover in design, procure, supply, installed and commissioned rooftop solar PV systems to any government department/public sector with work anywhere in India of a value of Rs 5,73,36,958 (Rs 5.73 crore). And, satisfactorily completed (at least 90% of the contract value), as prime contractor, at least one grid-connected solar rooftop project such as design, procure, supply, installed and commissioned solar rooftop on-grid PV systems of a value of minimum Rs 1,44,00,000 or installed and commissioned a rooftop system of minimum capacity of 300 kW to any State or Central government department/public sector undertaking. Recently, the Vellore Smart City Limited issued a tender inviting bids from eligible MNRE/TED approved organizations for setting up of grid-connected rooftop solar systems at various buildings of the Vellore City Municipal Corporations. The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems along with five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance from the date of commissioning.
