Tender Issued for 19,000 Solar Street Lights Under MNRE Scheme in Punjab By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Fri, May 15th, 2020 PEDA has tendered for commissioning of 19,000 solar street lights in Punjab under the MNRE off-grid and decentralised solar PV applications scheme. The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible vendors and firms for the work of designing and commissioning of 19,000 solar street lights in the state under the MNRE off-grid and decentralised solar PV applications scheme. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 19000 solar street lights including complete system warranty and its maintenance under an annual maintenance contract for a period of 5 years. The maintenance service provided shall ensure the proper functioning of the system as a whole. All preventive/ routine maintenance and breakdown/corrective maintenance required for ensuring maximum uptime shall have to be provided by the supplier. All bidders will have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 30 lakh along with their bids. As per the tender, the tentative quantity is 19,000 solar lights. However, the figure may be increased or decreased by PEDA. Furthermore, the successful bidders will have to ensure that the project is completed within one year of award of LoA as per MNRE guideline. To be eligible, the bidder must be engaged in the business for the minimum last three years in, either of the following: i) LED Street Lighting Projects Or ii) Solar Power Projects Or iii) Any SL EPC contractor. And, the Annual Turn Over of the bidder should have Rs 7.1 crore in each financial year during the last three financial years, and the bidder should be profitable in the last financial year i.e. 2017-18 & 2018- 19. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, manufacture, supply, and testing of the 19 lakh LED street lights along with seven years of warranty maintenance of the lights.
