The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TSREDCO) has now issued a tender for rooftop solar projects. Through this tender, the state has planned to add 1 GW of new rooftop solar capacity.

The state currently has a rooftop capacity of 472.90 MW. This comes at a time when the Union government has increased subsidies under PM Surya Ghar and amended several norms to widen the ambit of the subsidy scheme for rooftop solar projects across the country.

Mandate For Remote Monitoring 

The latest tender from TSREDCO mandates inclusion of Remote Monitoring System. The tender said that the vendors have to also provide a warranty for five years. It asked for ensuring Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of these plants for 1 year after commissioning.

The project is expected to be completed and delivered within next six months. The bids for this project will open on November 29 and close on 30th November. The project will use 1 MW cumulative (String or central Inverter) and use mono-crystalline PERC / TOPCon Non-DCR cells in the project. The solar project has a warranty of five years, and solar module has a 25 years warranty. The tender set the minimum guaranteed CUF of 19% (at metering point) for this project.

Inverters & Accessories 

Additionally, the TSREDCO tender included the usage of string combiner Box (SCB), with mounting structure in case of central inverter configuration. The project also includes the procurement and supply of solar cables of PV nodules to SCB / String Inverter along with straight/Y-connectors/branch connectors, ferrules, conduits, cable ties and other materials.

The tender expected the bidder to have a minimum one year experience in successful installation of grid connected ground mounted solar power plants. The bidder must have constructed and commissioned at least 1MW (single location or cumulative capacity) grid connected ground mounted solar power plant with 33/11KV evacuation experience during last three Financial years.

In case of Consortium , the bidder should have financial turnover of minimum Rs 3 Crores in any one year during the last three financial
tears. The empaneled vendor should have completed a work order of Rs.3 crore/mw equivalent work order as the total cumulative capacity.
