Bids open on the same day, that is, October 16, 2023. TCIL Issues Tender for 26 MW Solar Projects at Oman Airports Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL), an engineering and consultancy firm and a wholly owned Government of India public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Ministry of Communications, has invited bids from eligible parties to establish a pre-tender tie-up for significant solar projects in Oman. The tender invites bids for the design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, commissioning inclusive of operation and maintenance of 20 MW Muscat International Airport and 6 MW Salalah Airport solar PV projects on asset lease basis for fixed tenure in Oman for an Oman-based client, whose name is yet to be disclosed. The last date for the submission of bids is October 16, 2023. Bids open on the same day, that is, October 16, 2023. Interestingly, bidders are exempted from tender fee and EMD. The PBG (Performance Security Guarantee) must be equivalent to at least 5% of the value of the contract, or as determined on a case-by-case basis if TCIL is awarded the contract. Financial Criteria i) The average annual financial turnover during the last three financial years, ending March 31 of the previous financial year should be at least 30% (25% for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) & Startups) of the estimated cost of purchase (excluding GST). ii) Net worth should be positive as on March 31 of last Financial Year. iii) The bidder should be in profit before tax (PBT) in two out of last three financial years.
