Tata Power Solar Wins ₹632 Cr SECI Contract To Supply 292.5 MWp DCR Modules TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has secured a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) to supply 292.5 MWp Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) Solar Modules. The project is awarded to TATA Power under the CPSU Scheme Tranche-III. The contract, valued at approximately ₹ 632 crore, entails the delivery of DCR modules to the designated site in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh. The project is part of SECI’s larger 400 MWp tender, which underwent a competitive bid submission process followed by an e-Reverse Auction. The contract includes a total scope of 400 MWp DCR Modules, of which Tata Power Solar has secured 292.5 MWp. The preferred delivery timeline for the project is set from October 2025 to January 2026, spanning four months. About The Tender According to SECI’s 400 MW solar module tender, the Ramagiri project has another winner i.e., Alpex Solar. It secured a 97.5 MW project. Both the bidders won the project at a tariff rate of ₹21.61/Wp. Thus, SECI awarded 390 MW out of the total 400 MW capacity. A brief comparison with last year’s tender shows that SECI awarded the project to Swelect Energy Systems, Grew Energy, and Renew Photovoltaics Pvt Ltd. While SECI allocated 100 MWp each to Swelect and Renew, it awarded 200 MWp to Grew. All of these bidders had an evaluated bid value of ₹22.66/Wp. Additionally, their bid value per MWp stood at ₹2,26,56,975 (₹2.26 crore/MWp). This makes SECI’s latest solar module tender bids lower than its previous project. CPSU Scheme Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System), SECI commented, “The CPSU Scheme is a crucial initiative to enhance domestic solar manufacturing and strengthen India’s energy security. By awarding this contract to TP Solar, we are taking a significant step towards fostering self-reliance in the solar sector and ensuring that large-scale renewable projects are powered by high-quality, locally manufactured modules.” Tata Steel Slips Up On RPO Obligations In Jharkhand, Penalised Also Read Tata Power Solar Gets ₹455 Cr Order To Supply 300 MWp Modules To MSPGCL Also Read Tags: Andhra Pradesh, awarded project, DCR modules, India, Ramagiri, Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Tata power solar, TP Solar
