Tata Power Solar Receives LoA For 100 MW Project From SJVN By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Sep 16th, 2022 Highlights : The EPC win adds to previous projects Tata Power Solar has won from SJVN. To build a 100 MW ground-mounted solar project for an Indian public sector undertaking firm SJVN Ltd (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited), Tata Power Solar was given a “Letter of Award” (LoA) worth Rs. 612 crores. Tata Power Solar is a solar EPC business and wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy. The Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh are partners in this endeavor. Early this year, bids were requested for the project, which is located in Gujarat’s plot C of the Raghanesda solar park. SJVN had won the project in a bid at Rs 2.64/unit back in May 2021. Tata Power Solar Receives LoA of Rs. 612 Cr The LoA was chosen through competitive tariff-based bidding. Within 11 months of getting the LoA, the project will be commissioned. Earlier, Tata Power had also been entrusted with a 1000 MW project in Bikaner by SJVN. The CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPSSL), Ashish Khanna, commented on the occasion by saying, “We are pleased to be involved with SJVN for setting up this 100MW historic solar project in the ground-mounted segment. The project wins reinforce our proficiency in creating and implementing large-scale renewable projects for clients in the public and corporate sectors across the nation. TPSS will have a total portfolio of 9.9 GWp. The overall order book for TPSSL as of now is Rs. 15,520 crores.” TPSL recently received a letter of award (LoA) from NHDC Limited for Rs. 596 crores to develop a 125 MW floating solar PV project. Through competitive tariff-based bidding, the LoA was selected. By the contract, the project will deliver sustainable power to M.P. Power Management Company Limited within 13 months of the Letter of the Award date. Additionally, TPSL also commissioned a 160MW AC solar project at Jetstar, Rajasthan. In-which, approximately 6,75,000 numbers of monocrystalline PV modules were used in this installation and it will produce 387MUs of energy per year.
