Tata Power Solar Launches Off-Grid Solar Solutions in WB, Bihar, Jharkhand By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Oct 27th, 2022 Tata Power Solar Systems has shared that it will launch cost-efficient solar off-grid solutions in the states of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), manufactures solar modules, solar cells, and other solar products. It also provides EPC services for solar power projects. The company statement revealed that the off-grid solutions bring together solar modules that are highly efficient, inverters and batteries. Further, there are 11 variants of them, which range from 1 – 10 Kw. They come with a five-year warranty. The solutions offered by TPSSL are created to offer an efficient integrated power system for power backup at a time when there are grid supply shortages. The off-grid solutions as offered by the firm are charged during day while allowing customers to have access to sustainable electricity by cutting down their dependence on expensive alternatives such as diesel generators that also add to the pollution levels. The solutions are thus a viable option for night time and during power outages. The launch of the solution witnessed the presence of S Suresh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, West Bengal; Partha Pratim Mukherjee, Director (Distribution), West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd and Nayak, Director (EV), West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd in Kolkata. Tata Power Solar Systems claims to be a pioneer in encouraging wide scale solar adoption and is known for creating customized and strategic renewable projects.
