In North Delhi, where more than 7 million people live, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has achieved 100% RPO compliance for the second year in succession. To meet its Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) for the fiscal years 2021–2022, the company purchased 2200 million units (MUs) of green power from renewable sources, such as solar, wind, hydro, waste to energy, and large hydro sources. Power utility, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, a JV between the Government of India and Tata Power Company, has achieved 100% RPO compliance for the second year in succession. To meet its Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) for the financial years 2021–2022, the company purchased 2200 million units (MUs) of green power from renewable sources, such as solar, wind, hydro, waste to energy, and large hydro sources. About 25% of the total units that the company sold to clients within its service region are represented by this. Tata Power DDL, which supplies power in the North and North-western part of Delhi, was among the first power utility companies to have achieved 100% Renewable Purchase Compliance. After performing this obligation for the second time in a row, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has repeated the accomplishment once again this year. “In keeping with the company’s goal of a greener future, we actively encourage the use of green power and support sustainability. To satisfy a greater share of our energy needs from renewable sources by the year 2030, we support the government’s goal of having a reliable energy supply. The renewable profile of the company was around 21% of the DISCOM’s supplies. The company is preparing for a peak load of about 2350 MW this year. The peak load last year was 2,106 MW.
