Tata AutoComp delivers 64 DC Fast Chargers for Electric Bus Charging By Bhoomika Singh/ Updated On Thu, Jul 22nd, 2021 Highlights : Tata AutoComp with Tellus Power has supplied 64 200kW DC fast chargers to Tata Powers for e-buses charging stations in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Out of which, 50 chargers are in operation, and installation will be completed soon. Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, a key auto-component player, along with a US-based DC charging infrastructure company, Tellus Power Green, has successfully supplied an order for 64 200kW DC fast chargers to Tata Power for charging stations being set up by them for electric buses (e-buses) supplied by TATA Motors for operation in Mumbai as well as GSRTC in Ahmedabad. 50 of these chargers have already been commissioned and are in operation and for the balance; installation is in progress and shall be completed very soon. Tata AutoComp and Tellus together providing complete installation and commissioning support along with ongoing AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract). The MD & CEO of Tata AutoComp, Mr. Arvind Goel on this occasion declared that “Tata AutoComp has already collaborated with leading global companies to supply the Battery Packs & Drive Lines to various OEMs and start-ups for their vehicles which have already been introduced or are under development. Various Business Units of Tata AutoComp are providing EV solutions such as Battery Pack and BMS, Motor Controller and Integrated Drivetrain, Battery Thermal Management Systems, Electric AC compressors, Cooling Modules, Bus HVAC systems as well as many other innovative components used in EVs.” Tata AutoComp had entered into a strategic partnership with Tellus Power Green of the USA about a year back for providing the charging infrastructure for EVs in the country. The supply of these 64 200KW chargers promotes the Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan of the country. Additionally, Tata AutoComp – Tellus has also supplied 30kW & 50kW DC Fast chargers along with 7.5kW AC chargers to various customers, says the firm.
