Tangedco Floats Tender For 20 kW Rooftop Solar System

Tangedco 20 kW Rooftop Solar

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has issued a tender for setting up a 20 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant at the Thiruvalam substation (SS) in Tamil Nadu.

The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the supply, erection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the Rooftop LT grid-connected solar plant. The period of contract will be 3 months from the date of commencement of work.

The last date of bid submission is March 18, 2019, and the bids will be opened on the next date i.e. March 19, 2019. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 12,54,420 and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 12,544 along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder shall be a manufacturer/developer/installer of SPV systems or a system integrator cum EPC contractor having adequate experience in executing LT Grid supported solar power projects in India and had established and commissioned two or more Rooftop solar power plants in India with aggregate capacity of 20 kW, the minimum plant capacity being 1 kW to State Electricity Boards/ Government Undertakings/Corporations/any other private or public utility during the last 10 years.

The Annual Turnover of the Tenderer shall be not less than Rs 20 lakhs during any one of the previous three financial years (i.e.) 2015-16, 2016-17 & 2017-18.

Recently, Tangedco issued multiple tenders for setting up solar power plants at six of its substations (SS) in the state. The brief scope of work for selected bidders included the supply, erection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Rooftop LT grid-connected solar plant at Cuddalore SS (30 kW), Villupuram SS (15 kW), Echur SS (30 kW), Ulundurpet SS (15 kW), Thiruvannamalai SS (30 kW) and the Arni SS (15 kW).

In February, the Dharmapuri Electricity Distribution Circle (DEDC), under the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has issued tender inviting bids for setting up a 50 kW Rooftop solar PV power plant at DEDC’s Palavadi 400 KV Substation, Tamil Nadu.
