Solar modules maker Swelect Energy Systems, formerly known as Numeric Power Systems, has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for its solar photovoltaic (PV) modules including the high efficiency PERC modules. The achievement marks yet another milestone in the company’s journey of solar manufacturing excellence, adding to its 30 years’ of experience in energy and power conditioning systems. ‘BIS’ is the National Standard Body of India established for standardization, quality certification and testing of Indian goods. Earlier this year, the Indian Government has made BIS certification a mandatory requirement for solar PV modules imported or manufactured in India. Now, Swelect has joined the pool of one of the very few companies in India those have obtained this accreditation. The company, on getting the certification, said in a statement that, “High quality, high efficiency and highly reliable solar PV modules are manufactured in the 110 MW state-of-art world-class solar PV module manufacturing facility at Dabaspet, Bangalore, Karnataka, in the brand name – HHV Solar”.
