Suzlon Secures 300 MW Order For Its 3 MW Turbines From Apraava Energy Indian Wind Energy company Suzlon Group today announced a new order win for the development of a 300 MW wind power project for Apraava Energy Private Limited. Suzlon will install 100 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each at the client’s site in the state of Karnataka. This order is for the company’s larger rated 3 MW, S144-140m turbines from the 3 MW product series. As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and supervise the project including commissioning. Suzlon will also undertake comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning. According to Apraava, as part of the agreement, Apraava Energy will be responsible for acquiring the land, developing the wind farm, and establishing the grid infrastructure up to the metering point at the ISTS grid substation. Apraava announced today that it has secured a 300 MW wind energy project in Aski, Karnataka. The project is part of the 1200 MW auction capacity of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche-XIV) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The construction of the project will be completed within the stipulated timelines as per Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which is for a period of 25 years at a competitive tariff of INR 3.24/kWh.
