Suzlon Gets 180.6 MW Wind Energy Project from Sembcorp in Karnataka By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Sep 8th, 2022 Highlights : Under the new order, Suzlon will install 86 wind turbine generators with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each. Suzlon held that the order is part of the bid won under the SECI tranche XI auctions by Sembcorp, which has operations spread across seven states in India. Suzlon Group has announced a new order win for the development of a 180.6 MW wind power project for Green Infra Wind Energy Limited, which is a renewable energy subsidiary of Sembcorp. Under the new order, Suzlon will install 86 wind turbine generators with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each. Suzlon, based in Pune, claims to be India’s largest renewable energy solutions provider. Sembcorp is an energy and urban development company. The official statement of Suzlon said that the project is located in Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot, Karnataka, and is expected to be commissioned in 2024. Suzlon held that the order is part of the bid won under the SECI tranche XI auctions by Sembcorp, which has operations spread across seven states in India. The project can provide electricity to 1.01 lakhs households and curb 4.07 lakhs tonnes of CO2 emissions per year Suzlon will supply the wind turbines and execute the project including, erection and commissioning. It will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services post commissioning.
