Suzlon Bags 29.4 MW Wind Power Order from BrightNight By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Sep 22nd, 2023 Highlights : Suzlon will supply 14 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each 29.4 MW of wind capacity for BrightNight’s 100 MW Wind‐Solar Hybrid project at Osmanabad in Maharashtra Project to be commissioned in phases from April 2024 Suzlon Group, a renewable energy solutions provider, has announced a new order win for the development of a 29.4 MW of wind installed capacity for 100 MW co‐located wind‐solar hybrid project of BrightNight, a global renewable power producer. Suzlon will install 14 units of their S120-140m wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each at Osmanabad in Maharashtra. The project is expected to be commissioned in phases, beginning in April 2024. Suzlon will execute the project with a scope of supply, installation, and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will also offer post‐commissioning operation and maintenance services. Suzlon claims its turbines feature the time‐tested Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology that integrates wind turbines into the utility network to meet the grid requirements. Suzlon Group recently announced a significantly large new order acquisition for its 3 MW series of wind turbines from Teq Green Power XI Private Limited, part of O2 Power Private Limited- a renewable energy firm. Suzlon will install 64 of its largest wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each for the 201.6 MW wind power project.
