Suzlon will install 32 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each. The project is located in Gujarat and Suzlon will execute the project with a scope of supply, supervision, and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will also undertake post-commissioning operation and maintenance services. Suzlon’s R&D efforts are continuously geared towards increasing turbine performance, harnessing more energy from low wind sites, and lowering the cost of energy.” Suzlon’s 3 MW series In a major development for the firm, Suzlon received the RLMM (Revised List of Models & Manufacturers) Listing from MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) listing of its S144 – 3 MW series of wind turbines last month. Suzlon has already installed the first prototype of this series at a hub height of 160m with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower at the Gondal site in Gujarat. Suzlon’s 3 MW wind turbine series has proven to be a success in the market, with several major firms, such as Juniper, O2 Power, placing orders for it. As revealed in its August investors call, around 50 percent of the firm’s orders had come for its 3 MW series. The 3 MW series boasts local content of up to 85-90%.
