Sushil Sharma Assumes Additional Charge As CMD In SJVN By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Sat, May 4th, 2024 Sushil Sharma Assumes Additional Charge As CMD In SJVN Sushil Sharma has assumed additional charge of Chief Managing Director (CMD) and Dir. (Personnel) of SJVN Ltd. Presently, Sharma is serving as Dir. (Projects) in SJVN and was recommended for the post of CMD, SJVN after a rigorous selection process by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on April 8, 2024. He played a pivotal role in major projects such as India’s first Green Hydrogen Pilot Project at Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) in Jhakri, Himachal Pradesh. The 1500MW NJHPS, 412MW RHPS in HP & 60MW NMHPS in Uttarakhand, where his contributions were instrumental in the successful design, construction & commissioning of the power stations.An alumnus of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, Sushil Sharma earned his Bachelor’s in Engineering specializing in Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 30 years of rich and varied experience in various organizations including SJVN. Sharma began his career in H.P. State Technical Education Service in 1990. He joined SJVN in January 1994 as an Assistant Engineer. Over the years, he has played integral roles in various departments and projects, steadily ascending to positions of increasing responsibilities Sharma takes over at SJVN as CMD when the State and Central govt JV is actively expanding its portfolio of renewable energy to encompass solar, wind and non Hydro energy storage as well.
