Surat Municipal Corporation Issues Grid Connected Solar Tenders of 2 MW Each By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Aug 8th, 2022 Highlights : Surat Municipal Corporation has floated two grid-connected solar tenders. Both tenders have a 2 MW capacity. One solar plant will install on the BRTS route to Narmad University & the other one will be in Central Mall in Surat through the RESCO model. The last date for submitting the bid for both solar project tenders (Narmad University & Central Mall) is August 30, 2022, & the bid will be open be opened on September 01, 2022. Surat Municipal Corporation has floated two grid-connected solar tenders. Both tenders have a 2 MW capacity. One is for a solar plant to be installed on the BRTS route to Narmad University & the other one will be in Central Mall in Surat through the RESCO model. Interested bidders will have to pay Rs 7080/ each (including GST) for participating in the bidding process. The awarded bidder will have to pay Rs. 5 lakh for each tender as an earnest money deposit. And the same project should be in successful & continuous operation during the preceding six months from the cut-off date. To participate in the bidding process, the bidder must be an Indian module manufacturer and part of the ALMM list of manufacturers. The modules should have a minimum efficiency of 17%. The bidder must have his own office and authorized sales and service center in different parts of India. He should also have an authorized exclusive service center in Gujarat. The bidder should have experience in design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a cumulative installed capacity of 10 MW or above of grid-connected solar projects in India in the last seven years, with a minimum of 1 MW capacity and one power project of 5MW or above.
