Surat Municipal Corp Issues Tender For 6.3 MW Wind Project In Gujarat

Surat Municipal Corporation released a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of SETC of a 6.3 MW capacity wind energy project in Gujarat. The tender for the wind power plant along with all accessories and power evacuation facilities and operation and management (O&M) of the entire wind power plant. The wind project is commissioned for up to 10 Years (3rd Attempt). The document fee i.e., cost of tender is Rs.21,240.00 in the form of an account payee demand draft in favor of the municipal commissioner, Surat municipal corporation payable at Surat.

The tender reads, “An earnest money deposit payable as bid security is Rs. 68.83 lakh. In this, 80 percent of the amount is payable in the form of a bank guarantee and the balance of 20% in the form of a demand draft or pay order of nationalised/scheduled bank in favor of the municipal commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation, payable in Surat.”

It stated, “The commissioning is scheduled for the project to be commissioned within 12 months from award of contract. The payment terms is 10% of the contract value (w/o GST) for supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC), to be given as advance after award of contract / Letter of Intent against furnishing of bank guarantee of an equivalent amount. The remaining 90% payment along with GST is to be released against milestones as mentioned below by the value of contract value after furnishing of security cum performance guarantee.”

The document was released on 1st March 2024 and is available till 7th March 2024 up to 18:00 Hrs. The last date for bid submission is 5th March 2024 at 11:15 Hrs. The document fee i.e., the cost of tender is Rs 21,240.00 in the form of an account Payee Demand Draft in favor of Municipal Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation payable at Surat.

The document reads that the “Submission of technical bid, tender fee, earnest money deposit, and other documents, etc. in hard copy are to be submitted to chief accountant, SMC by RPAD/Speed Post Only.”  It added that the last date of submission is up to 14/03/2024 up to 17:30 hours.  

The document shared details regarding the bids, “The technical bids (Part–I) of the bidders, whose offers have been received by the due date and time, will be opened at 16:00 hrs of dated 15/03/2024 in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives intending to remain present in the opening process. The qualified bidders shall be informed of the date of the opening of price bids separately. The project commissioning is scheduled within 12 months from the award of the contract.”
