SUNPURE Secures 107 MW Contract with Juniper Green Energy

SUNPURE, a PV cleaning robotics supplier and module cleaning robotic solutions provider, has joined hands by way of a contract with Juniper Green Energy. Under the agreement, SUNPURE will provide water-free robotic cleaning systems for a capacity of 107 MW in Maharashtra to Juniper, an independent renewable energy power producer and operator of solar, wind and hybrid power projects. The firm is part of the AT Group, which has an asset portfolio to the tune of approximately US$2.4 billion with global investments in renewable energy and other sectors. 

The contract paves the way for the supply of fully automatic and semi-automatic advanced version of about 200 SUNPURE robotic cleaning systems slated for commissioning in Q4 2023. SUNPURE will employ its advanced AI based communication system for attaining higher ROI by utilizing the concepts of machine learning and deep learning to reduce the OPEX cost. 

Juniper Green Energy boasts operational portfolio of close to 800 MW with 500 MW under-construction. Its development pipeline exceeds 3 GW of solar, wind and hybrid projects. 

The idea of employing module cleaning robotic solutions is gaining traction in the country. This year several contracts have been signed for these solutions and SUNPURE, in particular, has been augmenting its order wins. It recently joined hands with AMP Energy India to supply water-free robotic cleaning systems for 300 MW of capacity. Earlier during the year, SUNPURE announced that it had signed agreements with renewable energy developer Sprng Energy. Another major announcement came from Amplus Solar, which entered into an agreement with AirTouch Solar. The deal is valued at $3.2 million.
