Sunora Solar Ventures Into Solar Inverter Manufacturing

Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer Sunora Solar has ventured into solar inverter manufacturing to expand its business verticals. The company’s top management told Saur Energy that this move aligns with its strategy to diversify in response to the rising demand for solar installations.

“We have launched our solar inverters in the range of 1 kW to 110 kW. Currently, in the initial phase, we are utilizing OEM services from a third party. However, we plan to start in-house production within the next couple of months. We decided to enter this new segment after recognizing the increasing demand for solar inverters driven by the growing number of solar installations. Now, we can offer both solar panels and solar inverters to our customers,” said Piyush Variya, Director of Sunora Solar, in an interview with Saur Energy.

Hybrid Solar Inverters On The Cards 

When asked about plans to launch hybrid solar inverters, Variya stated, “Although we have not yet started working on that, we are optimistic about entering the hybrid solar inverter market, as we see strong potential for growth in this segment.”

The Surat-based solar module manufacturer is now targeting the rooftop solar market, focusing on both residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sectors with its low and mid-range solar inverters. Additionally, the company is working on expanding its consumer outreach in Tier II and Tier III cities.

“We have recently launched a new initiative where our mini trucks will travel to Tier II and Tier III cities to raise awareness about solar energy adoption and its benefits, such as reducing or even eliminating electricity bills,” Variya added.
