Surat-based solar module manufacturer Sunora Solar is gearing up to enter the new energy solutions segment with the launch of its own range of hybrid inverters, while also significantly expanding its solar module manufacturing capabilities.

Speaking to Saur Energy, Piyush Variya, Managing Director of Sunora Solar, shared that the company is planning to launch its hybrid inverters within the next two months.

“We have already applied for BIS certification. We see strong demand for hybrid inverters, especially in regions like Kashmir and the North East,” he said. This comes at a time when the solar module maker forayed into grid-tied solar inverters in the last few months and added a new vertical in its business.

Grid-tied inverters

In addition to solar modules, Sunora has also launched a new line of inverters, offering both single-phase and three-phase models. The single-phase inverters range from 1 kW to 6 kW, while the three-phase versions go up to 10 kW.

Emphasizing quality and durability, Variya highlighted that Sunora’s inverters feature aluminium die-cast bodies, avoiding plastic or other materials.

“The aluminium body ensures better heat dissipation, which enhances the inverter’s lifespan. We’re offering a 10-year unconditional warranty on our inverters,” he said.

Sunora inverters come with Type II SPD in-built, eliminating the need for separate ACDB and DCDB boxes. Additionally, even the single-phase models are equipped with fans for effective thermal management.

“Our warranty card also allows up to 50% overload, reflecting our confidence in product performance,” said Variya.

Solar module expansion

Sunora currently has a production capacity of 800 MW, with an additional 1.2 GW capacity under construction. The company is also setting up a new 2 GW manufacturing plant in Kosamba, further boosting its presence in India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.

“Presently, we are into TOPCon technology and currently offer 600 Wp glass-to-glass modules with 144 cells, providing maximum efficiency in the 600 Wp category,” Variya added. “These modules come with a 30-year performance warranty and are entirely produced in-house.”

Sunora Solar has been actively engaging in branding initiatives as well. The company previously sponsored a Gujarat-based kabaddi event, marking its growing commitment to regional outreach and visibility.
